Matt is always willing to help out whenever we need him, and has even stepped into the role of delivery driver in addition to working in the Heart of House! Brody has been with Spinato’s for 5 years now. He is a key bartender and makes sure he always serves our guests the perfect cocktails! Magdalena Mejia

Magdalena has been here for almost 8 years, and this is not the first time she has won this award! She is our rock in the kitchen – no matter where she works, she is amazing! Her favorite spot in the kitchen is making perfect pizzas for our guests. Magdalena has the best attitude and puts a smile on everyone’s face when she is working.

Madison Harper

Scottsdale Location

When Madison began working at Spinato’s, she had some big shoes to fill (and not because of her feet)! Her brother also worked for Spinato’s, and we are happy to say that Madison is continuing the legacy of A+ Harper children! In our recent golf tournament raffle, Madison single-handedly raised over $1000 for our charities. When it comes to work ethic and dedication, we couldn’t be prouder.

Emily started out at our location on 16^th Street and Bell Road before transferring to our Central Phoenix location when we opened a year ago. Marissa has been with us for only a few short months, but she has had a big impact on our Andiamo Marketplace! TJ is a Junior at Notre Dame Prep, and has more energy than “Sparky” himself! This young man is always committed, hardworking and polite. TJ and his family have been longtime guests of Spinato’s for years, so we knew he was the right man for the job. We love having him on our team!

2014 Tony Awards

The Tony Award, named for the late Tony Spinato, is an award given to one member of each restaurant who best exemplifies what Grandpa Tony stood for. He was a quiet, humble, hardworking man who came to work each day with the goal of commitment and service to the team, without expecting any recognition. He did the dirty work without complaint, and always gave his best to the guests, even after his retirement. His grandson Anthony Spinato describes Tony as, “The guy that you didn’t always know when he was there, but you could always tell when he wasn’t.” In his memory, Spinato’s Pizzeria began giving out Tony Awards at the annual company Christmas party in 2004. The winners of this award are some of the most reliable, committed and modest members of our team. They work diligently, knowing the impact they have without needing to hear it, just as Tony Spinato did.

To the winners of this award: we salute you. You keep this company running the way Grandpa Tony would have wanted it.

Michael is a jack of all trades and one of the reasons why we do pizza so well up here on the North Side! He’s the first man in the door and the last to leave. Every now and then you decide you need a ninja in your life, and we here at Spinato’s decided we needed a Salad Ninja! It just happened that Greg fit the bill perfectly. Greg is quick, quiet, and to the point, just like a ninja. Salads appear out of thin air and then disappear into the dining room. You would think using a 3-foot sword to prep lettuce would be dangerous, but not with Greg’s ninja skills! Once, he even taught Chuck Norris to make a salad in less than 30 seconds!

Jerry is an amazing delivery driver that always goes the extra mile for our guests. He is always thinking of new ways to make your delivery experience unique and special – just the antiques he so often hunts for! Jerry not only has his own antique business, but he also runs his own bike shop, and is always willing to lend a hand as our resident “bike guy”. He sure is a man of many talents! Kari has been with us since we relocated our Central Phoenix location almost two years ago. Kari can handle any night that is thrown at her with little to no assistance needed. If you have enjoyed a beautiful salad or Caprese with that perfect balsamic drizzle that looks like it came from a magazine, Kari was probably the artist behind it! Kari is not only an artist inside the kitchen but enjoys drawing outside of work as well. Kari expanded her already large family (she’s the oldest of 10!) when she joined us, and we are so grateful to have her. When Brad is not crushing it here at Spinato’s, you can find him dancing at an EDM show or cheering on his AZ sports teams.

Will is a kitchen extraordinaire! He can do anything and everything in the kitchen and usually does – as you can tell by his photo, Will isn’t afraid to get down and dirty in the kitchen! When she is not making us smile at here at work, Lexi is on a rowing team and loves to be outdoors, riding bikes or going on a hiking adventure. Mike has worked his way through the company since he started in 2012 – first at our Tempe location, then to Ahwatukee, and now to our family here at the Central Phoenix location. From his humble beginnings as a delivery driver back in 2012, he has grown into one of our best servers! He can spend hours talking to anyone about everything from football to fine wines to wrestling to his 22-year-old cat that he loves so much. Male has been with the company for just over 9 years, during which she has worked at our Bell Rd. store, Awhatukee, and finally finding her home here at Central Phoenix. Although Jason has only been with us for a short time, he has made a lasting impression on our pizza line. Alyssa has been lending her strong contributions to the Spinato’s family for nearly 4 months now. Kevin (AKA Kevlar) started out with us in May 2014 as a dishwasher. Over that past year and half he has moved his way on up into the kitchen and now is a seasoned sandwich master as well as one of our newest dough rollers. He has always shined when put into a new position. Kevin may be soft-spoken in the kitchen, but his presence is loud, from the hats he wears to the smile on his face down to the shoes that always match his pants. Marissa started with us almost a year ago in our Heart of House making beautiful salads, but we saw pretty quickly that Marissa had what it takes to wow our guests in the Front of House as well, so we stole her out of the kitchen to be one of the smiling faces you see when you walk in the door. After she mastered the GSR world, we gave her a shot as a cashier in our Andiamo Market and she just keeps killing it! Marissa is quiet, but will give you a big smile and warm welcome when you walk in the door and if you’re not careful, she’ll talk you into leaving with a few of our delicious desserts from the Andiamo Market. We love the great vibes Marissa brings in to work with her every day.

Andrea has been with us just over 6 months now. Central Phoenix Location (Heart of the House)

Austin (“Bouggie”) has been with our family for almost 3 years and has already won our Tony Award (Employee of the Year), so we figured it’s about time he won this award too! Austin comes in everyday with the biggest smile on his face and greets everyone with a “Hiiiiiiii”, a hug, a high five or a chest bump. He can work any station in the kitchen and we can always count on him for a positive attitude! You can’t help but smile when he is around. Austin is a full time student at GCU and is working towards becoming a personal trainer. He has such an amazing work ethic and personality – we are truly lucky to call him family!

Emma-Li Thompson

Emma-Li has worked with us for over a year now, and her teamwork and work ethic are second to none! We appreciate her everyday that she spends with us, and we definitely notice when she’s not around. We are so proud to have her in our family!

When he’s not serving it up on the volleyball courts, Zachariah is serving up superior service at our pick-up counter. Alexis has been part of the family for over a year now. He always comes to work with a positive attitude and the world’s greatest enthusiasm! He can do anything and everything in our kitchen. He helps lead us through each shift, from washing dishes to pulling pizzas from the oven. Thank you for your caring nature and for always producing the highest quality food to our guests!
